CAMEROON NATIONALCNSC, Cameroon Customs sensitise CAMCIS users
On 4 August 2021, the General Manager of the Cameroon National Shippers’ Council (CNSC) Auguste Mbappe Penda officially opened an awareness workshop on anticipatory measures in the CAMCIS platform, at the Douala Maritime Museum.
The workshop was held with a view to improving cargo flow at the Douala Port. It is part of CNSC’s contribution towards reducing to the barest minimum difficulties encountered in the removal and delivery of goods and expediting the removal of containers in Cameroon ports.
The Cameroon Customs and the CNSC are once again pooling their efforts to enable shippers and their agents to better take ownership of the various customs procedures in force.
The workshop attendees were drilled on the various clearance schedules put in place by Cameroon Customs Information System.
The workshop staged a real-life test demonstration in the form of a "Full-scale customs clearance test" of the various customs clearance timings under the CAMCIS system to ensure optimal anticipation of procedures.
