In a bid to better assist Cameroonian businesses in the conduct of their activities, the Cameroon National Shippers' Council (CNSC), in collaboration with the SME Promotion Agency (APME), organised a training seminar today, 29 March 2023, at its head office building.
The two-day seminar with theme “The Importance of Private Investment Incentives in the Development of Local Value Chains and the Promotion of the Import-Substitution Policy”, seeks to enlighten participants on the different opportunities offered by the law on private investment incentives promulgated in 2013 by the President of the Republic, H.E. Paul Biya.
The agenda for Day 1 of the seminar featured several presentations delivered by seasoned experts. Mr. Constant Lobe, Director of the Single Window for SME Investment Incentives, elaborated on the advantages and procedures of various investment schemes available to SMEs. Mrs. Maliki Aicha, Head of CNSC’s Import Assistance Service, detailed out some foreign trade procedures. The last presentation of the day was by Mr. Emmanuel Frutumah, a Customs Inspector, who outlined customs-related incentives granted within the framework of the import-substitution policy.
The 2-day capacity building training seminar mainly targeting SMEs ends tomorrow, 30 March 2023.
